The gentle breeze whispered to the trees,
The trees told her secret to the bees, The bees buzzed to the the violet blue, The violet informed the underground crew.
The seedlings stirred in the cold moist earth, The spring bubbled forth with quiet mirth, The new tender shots pushed through the ground, The world awoke with a humming sound.
The birds took flight and filled the air, Broadcast the news with great fanfare, Spring Is Here! was the news told the trees, But now I wonder --- who told the breeze?
