| The room has a tense air as I entered that morning. I looked around and walked quietly to where he was working. It lay there soft and jelly-like as he slipped the metal instrument underneath it. Small beads of sweat appeared on his upper lib and forehead as he worked. Carefully he lifted it from position and slowly inverted it. He looked at it with a critical eye and then lowered it back into position. He had just turned his first fried egg without breaking it. |
