I have noticed an error I made on the record of Jacob J. "Jack" Rott and his brother, Adam, sons Johann Rott.
1) Adam was born on the 14th of June 1882 (not 1884) according to record 1895610/1 833 833, at Glueckstal to Johann and Fredricka Knodel. I have been in touch with a new found cousin, Ron Rott of California, a grandson of, Jacob J. or Jack. But it is thanks to Connie Talkie we now have a definite birth date for Jacob J.Rott, husband of Eva Meidinger. His registration papers for WW I dated Sept. 11th 1911 at Napoleon, Logan Co. ND and signed by him state that he was born 3rd April, 1881. This birth date is prior to his father, Johann's marriage to Fredericka Knodel on 16th Aug. 1881. This suggests that Carolina Zimmerman likely was Jacob J.'s mother* and died after his birth leaving him with his older siblings and father.
This Jacob would have been Carolina Zimmerman's third child to be named "Jacob" as two previous Jacobs are recorded as having died.
Perhaps this necessitated the marriage to Fredricka (Knodel) Schmierer to care for the children including baby Jacob. Please note that Johann married Fredricka (born c. 1851) on the 16th Aug. 1881 (Not 1883) at Worms, Rohrback. Fredricka died about 1896/7 shortly after she had daughter, Fredricka in 1894 (who d. 1919).
Johann & Fredricka and their children, which included Christian Schmierer( born 11th Oct. 1877 at Worms), who was now going under the name of "Rott" came from Odessa on the steam ship Warra in November 1884 arriving in New York on the 22nd of that month. The list of the family included Magdalena age 6 (when she was actually 10. August and Christian listed as age 5 (when they were actually age 7). Fredrick listed as age 7, Jacob listed as age 4 (which he really was) Adam 11 months and Johann Jr.age 15 Fredricka age 32 and Johann age 34. Christian Schmierer-Rott died a couple of years after coming to America at the family home in ND with his half brother, August as a witness.
It appears that the info. in the Ashley book contains a "typo" and should read 1998 as
Carolina Koenig married Johann about 1898. Carolina Koenig was born 26 July, 1863 at Rosenfeld, Grossleibental, Russia. She was the daughter of Carolina W.(b. 1824) and Johannes (b. 1820) Koenig. Carolina died in `1932 and she and Johann are buried at Lehr, ND.

daughter of Johann and Carolina Zimmerman, who came to America
with the family in Nov. 1884 at the age of 10.:

I noticed a few corrections in the Wolf history that of Rosina Rott- and Fredrick Wolf
