Melody Kober wrote:   "Here are a few old photos of the Lewin Kober family, my husband's grandparents and great-grandparents."

"The Kobers are Germans who came out of the lower Volga regionof Russia.  They listed their village as Susannental, Samara on their emigration papers but I have seen documents indicating Gottlieb Kober coming from Meinhardt which is a neigboring community.  (It was a death certificate and since he wasn't able to fill it out himself,  I will go with Susanntal as his birthplace.)"

 Melody does not know who complied  the family book.

The following is listed as being Georg Wilhlem Kober's father but  I do not know this is correct.  Heinrich would have been only 16.  It is possible the date was not correctly copied as Kath. was listed as being born 1798 so she was old enough....(????)
