Jacob Ochsner  from  Witikon [now part of Zurich], Switzerland.  Name appears on the list of community citizens on 20 March 1658. See Ochsner family

Hans Philipp Walter's name appears on the list of new community citizens on 20 March 1658.  His (1) wife was Barbara Wieland and wife (2) was widow  Barbara, nee ? , Haas.  Village mayor in 1701. See Walter family They were from the Wallon area of Belgium known as Walter de Blois

Bartholomaus Schenkel, who d. Edenkoben on 2 Nov 1705, had migr. from Schaffhausen, Switzerland where they had lived for a least four generations. See Family

Date of Departure: 1862 - Johann Heinrich (Henry) Roemmich, the younger. Destlination was Illnois. He was single. End of Rec.  According to his des. Lee J.. Ashley,  he was b. 4 Nov 1838 in Edenkoben/Pf, Germany d. 12 July 1908 LaSalle, Illinois.  Johann migr. to Peru, Ill.  He was the second son of Johan Henry Roemmich, the elder b. 7 April 1814  Germany  and d. 11 Dec 1893 Germany and Anna Katherine Satter b. 19 April 1811 and d. 18 March 1888.  His younger brother Jacob Philip Roemmich came to USA five years later.  As far as we know, no other siblings came to the USA..  He is the father of all the Roemmich of the Ill. Branch.  He m.  24 Feb 1867 at Hallowayvill, Ill, USA to Anna Elizabeth Lehn b. 15 Oct 1846 Edenkoben, Pf, Germany and d. 15 Jan 1912 in Sublette, Ill. (Letter from Donald W. Ashley.   They had 10 children:  See Lee J. Ashley's book.

Ashley, Jacob was the thrid son of He was the second son of Johan Henry Roemmich, the elder b. 7 April 1814  Germany d. 11 Dec 1893 Germany and Anna Katherine Satter b. 19 Spril 1811 and d. 18 March 1888. His older brother John Henry (Heinrich) Roemmich had reached the USA five years earlier. Jacob was b. 15 Nov 1841 Edenkoben, Pf, Germany and d. 7 Dec 1920 at Wellington, MO and is the father of the MO Roemmich Branch.
