According to historians at 6 p.m. on Saturday 14 Oct 1066, the world changed
and the "Viking Period" was at it's end at the Battle of Hastings. The
Vikings from it's motherland had fallen, King Harold was killed and the
descendants of and emigre of a Viking family succeeded the English throne.
His name was to become William "the Conqueror" of England, the grandson
