They came to the town of Hosmer, South Dakota. They stayed on the farm of Ludwig's brother in-law and sister, Christian and Ketherine Neumiller. The lived there for 7 months then moved to Medina, North Dakota. They lived north of Medina for 8 years and south of town for 25.   Ludwig Ebel was one of the prominent farmers of Stutsman county  [see Karl Abel's letter]. (NOTE: Farm was in Chicago Towship south of Medina and north of Streeter and east of Tappen and west of Jamestown.)
