NOTE:

Borodino :  Before 1814 the Tater village was known as  Soak Creek, after the German emigrates settled in the village the name was changed to Alexander  and soon, thereafter, was  renamed Borodino after the famous Battle of Borodino the Russians fought against Napoleon.  It should not be confused with Borodino which is near Moscow and where the battle was fought.

Presently known as Borodino/Akkermann, Bessarabia, Ukraine [Southern Russia].  It can be found on a present day [2006] map.

Chutor of  Periojany = Beriojany = Beriojan=Beriojohn=Beriozhom:  This chutor [estate] was found near Borodino.
